May 2022

The best time with friends.  The weather was perfect and missing those who couldn't make it this time.  We'll be back!

Here's the pictures from our latest trip to Amishland.  Missing those who couldn't make it.

September

While the weather is still nice we were able to get together for another social distancing picnic.  We can still do October outdoors but after that we are going to need a new venue.

Gwen was busy getting ready for Halloween.  Got to look close at the first picture.  There's a lot of fussy cutting and embellishment.  We were fighting the wind to get a decent picture.

Dianne added to her baby quilt series.  Another one done and two more for twins next February.  I think she lost count on how many she made over the past year.

And Kathy has been busy finishing up all her skeletons in the to do closet.  The pattern was gifted to her many moons ago.  It came out beautifully and she said it wasn't as hard as it looks.

We missed the Divas that couldn't make it and hope you and yours are staying safe.

We're Back!

It's been awhile.  We were very good and stayed apart for the first few months but everyone was missing getting together.  Summer hit and Jan found us a pavilion that allowed us to have social distancing picnics.

No posts though.  This is what happens when you work from home and have your personal laptop, work laptop, monitors, docking stations, and phones all plugged in at the dining room table.  My personal laptop took a dive and landed on the corner where you plugged it in.  It worked for awhile but then it bit the dust.  After a month or so of reading online reviews the replacement was chosen.  Of course I had to wait until it shipped six weeks later.  Sigh!

At our picnic we were surprised with three completed LTG quilt tops.

Lynn's

Kathy's

Gwen's

Also had the results of the Diva challenge from March.  Everyone was given a piece of a panel, was to do something with it, and bring it back to the August Amish land retreat.  Retreat was cancelled but that's another story.

Fran's very clever use of scraps.

And Lynn's second finish of the day.

I hope this find you and yours staying safe and remaining healthy.

February

The Divas did a couple of road trips in February.  First was the Quilt Show at Lake Farmpark.  The quilts were lovely but the logic behind some of the ribbons is always a puzzle.  Did miss Kathy's commentary while viewing the show.

The second road trip was back to Amish land for the successor to Mary's retreat.  Mary retired from organizing and a new team took over.  A good time was had by all even though some of us were under the weather.

Syd's top is ready to quilt.

Kathy has a baby quilt top done for a special friend of Evan's.

Fran's retreat only project is finished - ready to quilt as she tries out her new machine.

 Syd's work in progress.

 Fran's new retreat project.

M.A.'s finished top from the Edyta class.

Dianne was working on another quilt for her baby quilt series but I didn't get a picture.  I'm sure the next time she's with us she'll be hand sewing the binding and I'll get it then.
