It was a beautiful, sunny day when we gathered today, early, to make certain as many of us could attend as possible. We were missing Fran, Syd, Ruth,Susie, and Laura. We were busy though. Just discussing those not in attendance is exhausting.
MaryAnn was trimming Matti B blocks, Jan trimmed a quilt. Dianne was making Christmas presents for "friends that drank+, (She runs with hard core group when she is not with us). Judy and Kathy worked on the bag for their Wildwood donation. Kathy was only needed for advice which is one of her strengths and basically nodded wisely at Judy's suggestions. Kathy also finished a scarf for Lynnee. (In honor of that it snowed like a son of a gun as we left after lunch.) Lynn entertained Sherman, her best buddy. She also worked on Gwen's friendship block. Gwen had her diamond challenge piece ready to work on but we distracted her.The Wildwood Guild asked the Divas to come up with the guild challenge and we finalized that. Kathy's 2001 instructions were found lacking and will be rewritten for ease of use.
Lori flitted about, entertaining unexpected guests and heating up food. The Divas behaved although the conversation turned to the FBI using Dianne's garden tools to find a body. Yes, it was a long time ago, but don't mess with us. We know people.....
Some of us had been to the Sewing Expo and some new bag patterns were purchased so it was suggested that the May meeting become a sort of Bag-a- Palooza during which, we make some sort of bag/purse.
Margarettas were served and we set aside our labors for lunch. Wonderful as usual with a stunning display of Easter candy made by Judy, with Brady in mind.
There is quite a lot of snow right now but the majority fell after we were all safely home.
Lori was going to give a tutorial on blogging but information had changed and become elusive so we shall save that for another time.
Next month, the regular time.
Great post! I am so glad someone was paying close attention.
